At Delaneys Creek State School the curriculum is organised around key learning principles that reflect a combination of best practice in educational research.
Delaneys Creek State School acknowledges that optimum student learning occurs when learning is integrated and connected to the real world, is intellectually challenging, recognises differences in individuals and groups of students, is negotiated with students and is carried out in a supportive classroom environment.
The school is implementing the National Curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Science. In all year levels, we are implementing the Australian curriculum for the other key learning areas including Health and Physical Education, the Arts (including visual arts, drama, music, dance and media), LOTE (Japanese in 3-6) and technology. Specialists teachers are employed to deliver lessons in Physical Education, Japanese (LOTE) and Music.
